Cincinnati Holds Drive for PAWS Adoption Center

Ross Medical Education Center Cincinnati Pet Supply DriveThroughout the month of February, the staff, faculty, and students at the Ross Medical Education Center in Cincinnati collected donations for PAWS Adoption Center in Monroe, Ohio. Some of the items donated included food, cleaners, snacks, and kitty litter. The campus has loved working with PAWS Adoption Center in the past for drives and other events. Many of those from the campus have a soft spot for animals, so this event is a fun and meaningful one for them. They know that the center is one that they can trust to treat the animals well and help them to be adopted to their forever home.

Ross Medical Education Center Cincinnati Pet Supply DrivePAWS Adoption Center is a no kill adoption center for animals in need of a new home. It originally began in 1980 as the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and was started by a small group of local animal enthusiasts. It has grown steadily over the last 35 years to include boarding areas for cats and dogs as well as office space. Over the time that they have been in operation, PAWS has found forever homes for over 12,000 cats and dogs in the area, improving the lives of local pets and families. Although they have grown tremendously, their goal and vision has stayed the same, to help every healthy animal find a forever home, and to eradicate the use of euthanasia on treatable pets.

Ross Medical Education Center Cincinnati Pet Supply DriveCincinnati Campus Director Robin Re was very pleased with how successful the drive was. She shared, “we all enjoyed and had fun participating in giving back to our little friends. We have a lot of fun with the pet supply drive.” Stephanie Henry, Financial Aid Student Services Representative from the campus had the privilege of delivering the donations to PAWS. She said of the experience, “it is such a great feeling to be able to help the many animals awaiting adoption at PAWS.” The PAWS staff was very excited to receive the supplies, saying, “great donations from a wonderful group! Thank you Ross Medical Education Center!”
