There are many students and graduates at each of the Ross Medical Education Center campuses that inspire staff and faculty with their hard work, dedication to healthcare, and academic achievement. At Ross College Online, we are also always so impressed by the students and graduates that consistently work hard to earn their associate of applied science degree in a variety of programs. For each month’s Ross Online commencement, one graduate is selected by the staff to be the valedictorian because of their consistent character and achievements. This month’s valedictorian is Jennifer Purifoy.
Jennifer began her journey with Ross at the Ross Medical Education Center campus in Saginaw, Michigan. She went on to become a Medical Assistant program instructor at the same campus, and later became the Assistant Campus Director of Education. Jennifer made the decision to continue her education in July of 2015. She enrolled at Ross College in the Medical Assistant Associate of Applied Science Degree program.
From the very beginning of her program, Jennifer let her classmates know that she was looking forward to getting started and working with them. Her enthusiasm was contagious and continued throughout her program. In fact, that enthusiasm combined with some hard work and studying ultimately earned her a 4.0 GPA!
When discussing her work as a Ross instructor, Jennifer proudly explains, “I absolutely love my job. It’s such a gratifying experience to see my students succeed.” Her passion in the classroom and now as the Assistant Campus Director of Education is immediately evident to everyone that meets her. She is always looking for ways to inspire and motivate those around her. Jennifer is also married, and she and her husband have three boys ages 21, 20, and 13, and she still finds time to work, go to school, and read! She is an avid reader and has also been a huge New Kids on The Block fan for 27 years.
Congratulations, Jennifer! We are so proud of you and honored to name you our Valedictorian. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. We wish you the very best as you continue on your journey forward.
