Families all over the country take their children each year to get photos with Santa Claus. Many times, this process involves long lines and overpriced pictures. That’s why at Ross Medical Education Center in Erlanger, Kentucky, the staff and faculty decided to help alleviate some of the stress and pressure by inviting Santa to their campus and offering free photos to the community! It was also a great opportunity for the community and newly enrolled students to come by the campus and meet staff, faculty, graduates, and current students.
On Friday, December 11th, Santa stopped by for a visit to the Erlanger campus. The staff, faculty, and students were excited to see him and interact with him throughout his visit. During the couple of hours that he spent at the campus he was busy taking photos and greeting children and families. The campus had sent out invitations to current students, graduates, newly enrolled students, and even opened it up to anyone in the community to come by and get a photo with Santa absolutely free!
All those that came and got their photos taken with Santa were provided with one printed picture as well as the digital copies of the images taken. In addition to offering free photographs, the campus staff provided refreshments and delicious cookies to everyone present. Everyone in attendance very much enjoyed the experience. Porsha Thompson, a current student in the Medical Assistant program in Erlanger, shared about her experience, “It was absolutely priceless! It was my son’s first Santa experience and he ran right to him! I am extremely appreciative of Ross and the admissions team for their hard work!” Another student, Tiffany True, had a similar experience, “it was really cute and I didn’t have to go wait in line at the mall! I really liked that it was free and I got a print of the picture!”
