Medical Assistant Program in Grand Rapids & Kentwood
Ross Medical Education Center provides Medical Assistant training in Grand Rapids. Students are given instruction on a variety of skills related to both administrative and clinical aspects of Medical Assisting. The Medical Assistant program at the Ross campuses in Grand Rapids and Kentwood has six modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Grand Rapids or Kentwood, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions in a physician’s office, clinic, or other medical setting.

Medical Billing and Coding Training in Grand Rapids & Kentwood

Ross Medical Education Center provides Medical Billing and Coding related training in Grand Rapids and Kentwood. In the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program, students are given instruction on basic human anatomy and physiology, disease processes and the associated pharmacotherapy, and medical terminology. They are also instructed on administrative skills including medical charting and filing, financial record-keeping, proper processing of medical insurance claims, and other routine medical office procedures. The Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program at the Ross campuses in Grand Rapids and Kentwood has five modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Kentwood or Grand Rapids, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions such as Medical Receptionist, Medical Secretary, Billing Clerk, Patient Account Representative, and Patient Services Representative.
Dental Assistant Program in Grand Rapids & Kentwood
Ross Medical Education Center provides Dental Assistant training in Grand Rapids and Kentwood. In this training program, students will be instructed on clinical as well as administrative skills relevant to the dental office. Some of the clinical skills include the processing of radiographs, taking and recording vital signs, and taking impressions. Some administrative skills consist of filing medical records, preparing new patient charts, and and scheduling appointments. The Dental Assistant program at the Ross campuses in Grand Rapids and Kentwood has six modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Grand Rapids or Kentwood, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions in a dental office such as Dental Assistant, Dental Insurance Clerk, or Dental Receptionist.

Pharmacy Technician Program in Grand Rapids & Kentwood

Ross Medical Education Center provides Pharmacy Technician training in Grand Rapids and Kentwood. In the Pharmacy Technician program, students are given instruction on the necessary information and skills for an assistant to a licensed Pharmacist. Some of the topics they are instructed on include pharmacy ethics and law, microbiology, drug procurement and inventory control, and pharmaceutical and medical terminology. The Pharmacy Technician program at the Ross campuses in Grand Rapids and Kentwood has six modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Grand Rapids or Kentwood, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions in community, retail, or hospital pharmacies.
Nursing Assistant Program in Grand Rapids, MI
Ross Medical Education Center provides Nursing Assistant training in Grand Rapids. The Nursing Assistant program prepares the student for employment in a variety of entry-level medical fields. Students will be following the curriculum of instruction as described in the 1991 State of Michigan Nurse Aide Training Curriculum Model and will be trained to perform the specific skills that are required to pass the skills portion of the State of Michigan Nurse Aide Certification Examination as administered by Thompson Prometric. Students will also be instructed and tested on the concepts and information which are required for the written portion of the State of Michigan Nurse Aide Certification Exam as administered by Thompson Prometric. The tuition for this program is $985 which includes a $25 non-refundable application fee.

About Ross in Grand Rapids & Kentwood
Opened in 2016, the Ross Medical Education Center Grand Rapids campus is on the northeast side of the city and is only about a mile north of 96 and two miles east of 131. The campus is conveniently located just off of Plainfield Ave and in the same parking lot as Meijer.
Opened in 1989, the Ross Medical Education Center Kentwood campus is on the southwest side of the city and can be easily accessed by both 96 and 131. The campus is conveniently located on the Grand Rapids public transit route 44 and is across the street from Horrocks Market.
As the second largest city in Michigan and the largest city in Western Michigan, Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas house a large network of hospitals, specialty clinics, pharmacies, and research centers.
