Ross Medical Education Center provides Medical Assistant training in Charleston. Students are given instruction on a variety of skills related to both administrative and clinical aspects of Medical Assisting. The Ross campus in Charleston’s Medical Assistant program has six modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Ross Medical Education Center provides Medical Billing and Coding related training in Charleston. In the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program, students are given instruction on basic human anatomy and physiology, disease processes and the associated pharmacotherapy, and medical terminology. They are also instructed on administrative skills including medical charting and filing, financial record-keeping, proper processing of medical insurance claims, and other routine medical office procedures. The Ross campus in Charleston’s Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration program has five modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Charleston, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions such as Medical Receptionist, Medical Secretary, Billing Clerk, Patient Account Representative, and Patient Services Representative.



Dental Assistant Program in Charleston, WV

Ross Medical Education Center provides Dental Assistant training in Charleston. In this training program, students will be instructed on clinical as well as administrative skills relevant to the dental office. Some of the clinical skills include the processing of radiographs, taking and recording vital signs, and taking impressions. Some administrative skills consist of filing medical records, preparing new patient charts, and and scheduling appointments. The Ross campus in Charleston’s Dental Assistant program has six modules. In the Pharmacy Technician program, students are given instruction on the necessary information and skills for an assistant to a licensed Pharmacist. Some of the topics they are instructed on include pharmacy ethics and law, microbiology, drug procurement and inventory control, and pharmaceutical and medical terminology. The Ross campus in Charleston’s Pharmacy Technician program has six modules. The course is structured so that the modules can be completed in any order. Upon successfully completing the program in Charleston, students should be prepared to work in entry-level positions in community, retail, or hospital pharmacies.

Opened in 2012, the Ross Medical Education Center Charleston campus is located just off of the West Virginia Turnpike (I-64/I-77). The campus is in the Kroger plaza on Maccorkle Ave by the DMV.
